It has been brought to our attention that the state of residency field was not being filled correctly. This is fixed in the latest update.
CH are currently having difficulty with downloading of responses using their recommended "download all responses for this presenter" function. In the short term they are recommending downloading responses by submission number until they find out what their problem is. In the latest download we have added Efile / download by submission number You can find out the submission number by clicking on the log icon and looking at the transid column.
When you get a response back it can be ACCEPT, REJECT, PENDING or PARKED. Only ACCEPT responses should have a certificate link, but currently CH are sending out PENDING responses also with an (invalid) certificate link. Ignore PENDING and wait for ACCEPT.
First make sure you have the most up to date version of the software from http://www.forbes.co.uk/install/cosec.exe.
If you have not updated the forms software for a while also install http://www.forbes.co.uk/install/09.exe.
If after installing you get errors referring to fcscomm.dll the supporting libraries have not installed correctly. They may be installed from http://www.forbes.co.uk/install/dll.exe. Make sure no forbes software is running whilst you do the supporting libraries update.
Then make sure that under Tools / User Setup / Advanced and make sure you have ticked

The address under tools / user setup / agents details needs separate lines for the premises, street and town. i.e. it must be entered as
38 Station Road Woburn Sandrather than
38 Station Road Woburn Sands
It is now also necessary to enter personal authentication information for the agent under tools / user setup / agents. Use the companies house authentication button under agent details.
If you are still having problems, please email a copy of c:\temp\env.xml to support@forbes.co.uk and we will look into what is not setup correctly.
It is no longer possible to use a personal authentication code for subscribers. You must use tthe 3 of 7 (eye colour, place of birth etc.)
A director can now has a service address and a residential address. If in the people screen if you enter just a single address for the person it will be used as both the service address and residential address. If the service address and the residential address are different then use the service address button to complete the service address.
At present the prescribed particular for the share capital statment is being passed through as
full rights with regards to voting, participation and dividendsIn the transmission format for addresses there are two fields for "country". If the country is on the CH list (EU countries + US) then we use the country field and automatically pass in a country code. If the country is not on the list we will put up a warning (unknown country) and use the CH OtherForeignCountry field. We display this warning in case you have mistyped the name of a known country.
you will need to 1) install a pcl printer dirver if you do not already have one - let me know if not 2) scan in the letter into say word and add any futher text (as the normal sup info will disappear) 3) print to pcl 4) copy the pcl file to the client folder and call it eincsup.pcl e.g. c:\forbes\clients\xxxx\eincsup.pcl if the client is xxxx
