Corporation Tax

If you wish to start a CTSA return for one of your clients there are several methods for you to enter the CTSA Form. You can enter through the ProTax-CTSA icon in Forbes Systems. This is covered in section 2.1 of this manual. Alternatively you can enter through Clientbase. Details of operating this are covered in chapter 13 of this manual.

Corporation Tax uses the Form Completion System. Section 2 of this manual covers the salient features and operating procedures that apply to the generic Form Completion System. This has the advantage that you don't have to learn how to use a new product.

When Print is selected, the whole 12 pages of the return will now print.

When you enter the dates on page 1 and the profits on page 4, corporation tax and marginal relief will be calculated. It is important that you enter the dates in the format dd/mm/yyyy e.g. 30/06/2002. You can view the computation by clicking on the computation

5.5.1 Introduction

Internet Filing is now available for CT600 returns

Complete the return in the normal way.

5.5.2 Attachments

Any attachments that would normally be attached to a CT600 return, e.g. sets of accounts, must still be attached. The Inland Revenue will only accept attachements in pdf format. PDF writers are commercially available with pricing ranging from a few pounds to several hundred. The pdf write you have purchase will appear as another on your system. You can therefore produce pdf from program that can print.

pdf writers are available (cheapest first).

Once you have all your attachments converted to pdf format you can include them in the tax return for transmission by choosing File then Attachments.

Once you are happy, you can transmit the return in the same was as for an SA100.
