On the 23rd of November the HMRC performed their biggest upgrade to the CT systems in over a decade, bringing in XBRL filing and changing the xml format of the CT transmission. You will need to update your Forbes software to match and be aware of some minor changes in the way you fill the forms.
ProTax update
Supporting libraries (should install automatically when you install the above)
Vista update (required in addition to above updates if using vista)
The HMRC will generate this error if you transmit in the old format. Make sure that you have updated your software.
You cannot leave box 3 blank, enter 0. Alternatively update your software so that this happens automatically.
box 42 needs to be ticked if the company is paying tax at lower rate or claiming marginal relief. This will be ticked automatically when you run the computation but may not have been ticked if you ran the computation before updating the software.
The irmark depends on both the format and the content of the data. As the HMRC have changed the format of the data then irmarks for the new CT system will be different. This will affect the hardcopies of any returns that you printed before the changeover but does not prevent transmission.
If no computation or no accounts are attached the return will be rejected unless the reason is given. Furthermore the reason has to be picked from a standard list. In the latest version of the software, illustrated below :-

If you get problems transmitting returns with box 136 completed, please re-install.
